Samsung Violated Apple Patents, Jury Awards Apple More Than $1 Billion in Damages

The epic smartphone patent infringement case involving Apple and Samsung has an outcome after a trial in California. Apple sued Samsung for $2.5 billion for copying the design of the iPhone and iPad and Samsung countersued Apple for $519 million, also for patent infringement.
